Honda has formulated the “2030 Vision” as the direction that will guide Honda toward the future. In order for us to “serve people worldwide with the joy of expanding their life’s potential” as the main statement of our vision, we will continue to provide safe and environmentally-friendly products and improve our technologies and activities for our customers.

In 2019, Honda succeeded in providing appealing products and services that bring “joy” to more than 17.8 million customers in the Asia & Oceania region in all aspects of our business, including motorcycles, automobiles, power products and aircraft.

Striving to realize a carbon-free society, Honda has set an environmental target of reducing CO2 emissions by 50% by 2050, compared to 2000 levels, and the goal to electrify two-thirds of our global automobile unit sales by 2030. We will electrify our products mainly with hybrid technologies by expanding the application of our i-MMD  hybrid system to the Honda vehicles, including the lineup in the Asia & Oceania region. In the Motorcycle area, Honda is also conducting research experiment projects of Honda PCX electric scooter and its detachable batteries (Honda Mobile Power Pack) in Indonesia and the Philippines. (Thailand and Vietnam to contribute to the creation of a sustainable and carbon-free environment. )

In terms of safety approaches to realize a collision-free society, Honda has started applying “Honda SENSING”, Honda’s safety and driver-assistive technologies in our region since 2014 and will continue to expand the lineup. This demonstrates our commitment to offer our customers safe and secure mobility in their daily lives. We also continuously provide traffic safety education to a wide range of our stakeholders across the region.

In the area of philanthropy, Honda undertakes several social contribution activities among all Honda subsidiaries in various ways, including supporting our youth for the future, promoting traffic safety, protecting the global environment, and addressing local community needs to the realization of a sustainable society, hand in hand with local communities.

Honda will continue taking on new challenges while being driven by strong passion, so that we can continue to be a company that society wants to exist in the Asia & Oceania region.
