TreeFund
The Honda TreeFund was established in 2004, inspired by the “Blue Skies for Our Children” philosophy of our founder, Soichiro Honda. Since its inception, the initiative has contributed to the planting of over 750,000 trees across New Zealand, reinforcing Honda’s commitment to sustainability and environmental restoration.
One of the most notable projects is the Kaiapoi Regeneration Project in collaboration with the Waimakariri District Council. Between 2019 and 2021, up to 15,500 trees were planted, transforming the site into the Honda Forest.
Another significant project is Kelly’s Bush. This historically and ecologically significant area has been further enriched through the planting of 500 additional trees by local Honda staff, thus ensuring its preservation for future generations.
Through these initiatives, the Honda TreeFund continues to make a lasting impact, enhancing New Zealand’s natural landscapes and supporting biodiversity for years to come.
