Enhancing Traffic Violation Enforcement and Riding License Programs

Atlas Honda Limited (AHL) has partnered with Punjab police to strengthen traffic violation enforcement. This collaboration has resulted in significantly increased fines for violations. Helmet infractions now incur a fine of 2,000 Rs, up from 200 Rs, while seatbelt violations have risen from 300 Rs to 1,500 Rs. These measures have had a notable impact, with helmet usage increasing from 24% to 30%, contributing to a reduction in traffic fatalities.

AHL has also made substantial contributions to improving the riding licensing system through several initiatives. They have introduced an online learner’s license application via website, reduced retest waiting periods, and increased the number of licensing centers. These efforts have proven highly effective, leading to a doubling of license issuances in Punjab compared to the previous year.
